Selling Supersonic: Liam Gallagher sells out Heaton Park gig on the first day of official sale

It appears Liam Gallagher knows how to hit the right chord with the fanbase. His second solo album Why Me, Why Not has proved to be a huge commercial success and hit Number 1 on the UK charts. After a productive tour with the legendary The Who, Liam hits the road again – this time with an ambitious UK arena tour.

Only two days ago, Liam announced a massive gig at Heaton Park in Manchester on June 12th. The pre-sale took place yesterday, while today is the first day of the official ticket sale. Some might have taken their time to save up a few extra quid, but Liam’s gigs seem to be selling out like hot cakes these days. Even though the Manchester venue is capable of holding 50,000 fans, all the tickets have gone on the first day of the official sale. Today Liam’s team has proudly posted the sold-out sign on his official Instagram account.

As soon as the pre-sale started yesterday, the fans rushed to bag their tickets. Liam’s gigs seem to be in higher demand than ever before. Currently, he’s playing massive sold-out arenas and announcing new dates of his ongoing tour. For instance, today Liam has confirmed his appearance at the Reading Festival in August next year. With his record doing so well in the charts, Liam is already planning to bring out his next solo endeavour.

Meanwhile, Liam has already played at massive venues like the O2 Arena in London and Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham. His setlist seems a perfect combination of the best Oasis hits, including the underrated and forgotten tunes, and his new solo material. Recently the fans’ favourites like Gas Panic, Acquiesce, Lyla and Columbia have made their way back onto Liam’s setlist. The rock icon also takes his time to greet the fans and spare a nice word to the audience. Things can’t be looking better for Liam these days. We can only hope he’ll add some more tour dates in the nearest future. With a setlist filled with timeless hits and Liam’s vocals on point, it’s hard to ever get enough of seeing him live.
