Noel Gallagher, “I don’t give a fuck about what geezers dressed in parkas want from my solo music”

Noel Gallagher has defended the psychedelic direction of his solo career saying that he “never gave a fuck” about upsetting any of his fans with his music.
‘Who Built The Moon?’, his third studio album, came out back in November 2017.
For this record Gallagher adopted what NME described as a “free-wheeling solo freedom” in terms of its musical direction.
Speaking about the making of ‘Who Built The Moon?’ in a new Discogs documentary, Gallagher explained: “There’s a load of geezers dressed in parkas who want you to carry on doing what it is they’ve kind of missed out on and it’s amazing when you see the next generation of Oasis fans and all that: I respect that. When I’m out and I’m touring, I play all the stuff: y’know, what I think [fans] would like to hear.
“When I’m in the studio, I don’t give a fuck what they want,” he declared. “I never gave a fuck.”
